How to Limit PLDT ADSL Router Bandwidth Limit using QoS SetUp

The PLDT wifi router has been one of the most widely used wired and wireless DSL and wifi router in the Philippines today. One of the best way is the use of the QoS setup or Quality of Service setup that can be found on your PDLT router. This is used to control download and upload speed of other wifi users or clients (homeusers) that are connected to your router.

You just have to choose a specific device using its MAC address to limit the speed or bandwidth. This setup process can be accomplished thru online using your favorite web browser from your desktop or laptop. This can be done without the use of ethernet cable to complete the setup.

4 Steps to Limit PLDT WiFi Bandwidth on PLDT Router wireless :

Step 1
Firstly, go to ADSL login window and login with the credentials.
[User Name: adminpldt & Password: 1234567890]


Step 2
Then, open on 'Advanced' settings then click on 'QoS'.
Now click on 'Traffic Shaping'.


Step 3
Next, click on 'Add' button to setup the bandwidth limit.
In the form, just fill the Src MAC with the MAC of the device.
Now, fill the Up Floor, Up Celling & Down Floor, Down Celling.
Then click on 'Apply' button.


Step 4
Once you click on Apply, this will save the settings click on 'Save/Apply'.


Now the QoS is complete for the device which MAC you have entered.
This person with the device would not be able to use extra or excess bandwidth from PLDT your wireless network.
